Suspects Wanted for Credit Card Skimming

Police looking for 2 men after card reading device found at Welland area truck stop

Your help is needed by Niagara Regional Police to find two suspects they believe are responsible for credit card skimming in Welland.

Officers were called on Friday, February 2nd, to a truck stop in the area of Lincoln Street east and Dunkirk Road.

A customer found a card reading device and camera, and reported it to employees, who took it down.

Police were then called last Friday, to the same location, for a second device that was discovered by an employee.  This time, two men were pictured.

One suspect is tanned, has a black beard, is roughly 30-years old, stands 5'10 to 6' tall, has a medium build, and wore eyeglasses.  He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, black pants with a white strip down the sides, and black shoes.

Police say the 2nd man is also tan skinned, with the same build and height.  He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, and red accenting on the shoulders, and a red "Air Jordan" logo.   He was also wearing black gloves which he later took off, black shoes, black baseball hat, grey sweatpants with black accenting on the pockets, and a neck warmer with the New York Yankees logo on it.

Police are looking into the possible involvement of a white, older model Ford F250 pickup truck, with an extended cab.  It has a white cap on the bed, and the passenger window will have numbers marked on it.
