Public Health Flags Seven Beaches As Unsafe for Swimmers

E.Coli, algae detected

Niagara Region Public Health is advising you to stay away from seven local beaches. 

Waverly Beach in Fort Erie has been flagged due to algae. 

Meanwhile, E.Coli has been found at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln, Centennial Cedar Bay Beach in Port Colborne, Sherkston Wyldewood Beach in Port Colborne, Sunset Beach in St. Catharines, Long Beach in Wainfleet and Wainfleet Lake Erie Public Access Beach. 

Throughout the summer, Niagara Region Public Health tests the water at local beaches to make sure it's safe for swimmers.
