Police advising motorists to be cautious on the road during bad weather
Niagara Regional Police had a busy day on the roads, thanks to the weather.
Constable Barry Ravenuk says by 3:00 p.m., the NRP responded to 47 collisions in Niagara.
He says if you need to be on the roads when weather is bad, you should slow down and give yourself plenty of time to get where you're going.
Ravenuk also advises keeping a safe distance between your car and the one in front of you, and remaining focused on the road at all times.
A breakdown of the crashes is as follows:
- 18 - Welland / Pelham
- 9 - Grimsby / Lincoln / West Lincoln
- 8 - St. Catharines
- 7 - Niagara Falls
- 5 - Port Colborne
