They were chosen for official wine

The Niagara region dominating for supplying the wines of choice at Queen's Park in Toronto.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the 2023 Sparkling Riesling, from Harbour Estates Winery in Jordan Station, was voted by politicians as the official sparkling wine of the Ontario legislature. for the 46th Annual Speaker's Wine Tasting

Politicians voted for their favourites back in October.

They also picked the 2021 Barrel 81, by Riverview Cellars, as the official red wine, and the 2024 Vidal Icewine, from Between the Lines Family Winery, for icewine.

The event was hosted by Speaker of the Legislature Donna Skelly.
