About 400 vehicles stopped
One person is facing charges following R.I.D.E. checks last night in Fort Erie and St. Catharines.
Police stopped about 400 cars and asked drivers if they had consumed any alcohol or drugs before getting behind the wheel.
Eighteen drivers were asked to provide a breath sample, and one person failed.
Their license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for a week.
Another driver registered an "Alert" and had their license suspended for three days.
Several tickets were also issued for various offences, including one driver who was charged for having cannabis readily available while driving.
