BIA members want another board election
A contentious issue is before Niagara Falls city council late this afternoon concerning the downtown BIA.
Many members of the BIA are asking city council to get involved in regards to the results of a recent vote, and call for a new election for the 9-member board of governors.
During the General Meeting in November, seven people were elected, and there was a 3-way tie for the two remaining positions.
To date, the BIA board has not revealed who the nine winners are.
Members of the BIA say there is a recommendation from the current board that all 12 names that were on the ballot be appointed to the board, which they say is completely undemocratic, considering some weren't even at the meeting.
