Agency reporting a shortage of platelets and O-negative blood
Canadian Blood Services is asking you to roll up your sleeves.
The agency says there has been a spike in appointment cancellations due to winter storms hitting the country.
As a result, about 1,500 blood and plasma donations didn't happen, which is about 10 percent of the amount that was expected.
The organization says there is a critical need for platelets, as well as O-negative blood.
