Toronto Launching Alcohol Pilot Program in Select Parks Today

The pilot program will allow legal adults to enjoy a beer while visiting select parks until October 9th.

TORONTO - Adults over 19 will be able to enjoy an alcoholic beverage in select Toronto parks.

The city is launching a pilot program today which will allow legal adults to drink alcohol in 27 parks until October 9th. The list includes Park, Corktown Common, and Earlscourt Park.

Officials say no tickets have been issued for drinking in Toronto parks in 2023, so the residents who are drinking are doing so respectfully and responsibly.

Canadian cities such as Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary have similar programs in place.
