Campaign provides essential goods to homeless men in Niagara.

For the fifth year in a row, the Toolbox Project is looking for donations to help homeless men in Niagara.

The campaign provides packages of essential goods like snacks, hygiene products, and winter accessories to local homeless men.

We spoke to organizer James Symons, who spoke of the need for the campaign.

"I saw a need for this almost five years ago...and wanted to do something about it. At the time, there was some great work being done for the women experiencing homelessness and poverty...but there was nothing for the men to receive on Christmas morning."

There are over 40 donation bins throughout Niagara, including at The Office in downtown St. Catharines, the Thorold Station 1 Firehall, and Boldt Realty in St. Catharines.

On November 21st, volunteers will try to fill a utility trailer with donated goods at the Grantham Lions Hall in St. Catharines between 9 am and 2 PM.
