Things To Do In Niagara This Halloween Weekend

Plenty of events for the kids

Niagara Falls is holding its annual Spooky Awards, for the best decorated homes in the city.

You can get in on the fun as well.

The city has created a map of all the Spooky Awards entrants and has posted it on its website so that you can take a tour and check out the nominees.

This year the city has  added an all ages virtual Halloween costume contest to the Spooky awards along with more prizes

Participants have until October 31st to register online.


In St. Catharines, the downtown will be transformed today into the spookiest pop up market event of the year.

Go on the Handmade Halloween Crawl between noon and 7 pm today featuring 14 downtown businesses and more than 60 handmade vendors in both indoor and outdoor markets throughout the downtown.

There's a photo scavenger hunt, a prize basket, private tarot readings, and all kinds of fun spooky features.


The St. Catharines Downtown Association will also be hosting  a pair of  sold out Costume Parades tomorrow

The first starts at  4:45 p.m. and the second kicks off at 5:15 p.m.


Attention ghouls, goblins, pirates and superheroes, the second annual Halloween walk is set for Sunday in downtown Crystal Beach.

The Crystal Beach Business Improvement area says 30 businesses are taking part.

Kids can stop by between 3 and 5 pm and get an early start on filling up those pumpkins.

But thats not all, the Ridgeway BIA is hosting an afternoon trick or treat from 1 to 3pm Sunday afternoon to kick start the day.

And the Bridgeburg BIA in Fort Erie has a "Truck or Treat" event set for tomorrow from 10 am to 4pm on Jarvis Street.

 

Cogeco is once again taking to the streets to help children trick or treat safely. 

For the 8th consecutive year, the Pumpkin Patrol is partnering with police forces including Niagara 

Between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m on Sunday, the Patrol will be out in white vans offering help to any trick or treaters that may need assistance.

"In partnering with local police services, our employees provide additional eyes to help protect our children while they enjoy Trick or Treating, making it a fun and safe evening for the children, as well as parents and caregivers."
