Teens Arrested After Welland Collision

A 35-year old man also arrested, all charged with weapons offences

Two teenagers and a 35-year old man, all from Welland, are facing weapons charges after a collision in Welland.

Police say they were called Friday night to East Main Street and Duncan to reports of a collision.

They found a white Nissan had been seen driving erratically before it crashed into a Chevy Trailblazer, and after that, two people were seen running from the NIssan to a nearby house.

Police arrested the two at the house, who were teenagers, and while that happened, a witness came forth and said the teens were shooting at and trying to run over two unknown males riding BMX bikes before the crash.

Police would like to speak to those two bike riders.

Furthermore, police found guns in the house, and arrested the 35-year old man inside.  They also found two pellet guns in the white Nissan.

Harry James Robert Higson was released on bail with an August court date, while the 16 and 17-year olds remain in custody after a bail hearing.
