Strike Votes Planned for OECTA

It's expected this October.

ONTARIO - Another teachers union could be going on strike.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association will be holding strike votes on October 18th and October 19th.

The bargaining process has been taking place over the past year, and the union says the province has not meaningfully engaged in discussions about funding public education during that time. It also says they haven't been able to finalize the scope of negotiations with the government.

The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation both announced plans to hold strike votes last week.
