UPDATED: Heat Warning in Effect for Most of Niagara

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for most of Niagara.

Today and tomorrow, afternoon temperatures will be around 31 degrees, but it'll feel like it's about 40 with the humidex.

You'll get a little relief from the heat tonight, as it's going down to 20 overnight.

Extreme heat affects everyone, and it can cause deteriorating air quality.

Children, seniors, pregnant women, people working or exercising outdoors and those with chronic illnesses are most at risk.

If you do need to go outside, you're advised to schedule outdoor activities for the cooler parts of the day.

Environment Canada also suggests drinking plenty of water, staying in a cool place, and never leaving children or pets inside a hot car.
