A beluga whale and dolphin at the park have reportedly died at Marineland
There are more reports of animal deaths at Marineland.
Authorities say last week, a 28 year old beluga whale and a 26 year old dolphin died at the park.
Autopsies are taking place to determine how the animals passed away.
Beluga whales typically live about 35-50 years, while bottlenose dolphins live about 40-60 years.
This comes less than two months after the death of Marineland's last remaining orca, Kiska.
The news has prompted animal rights group World Animal Protection to urge the province's Solicitor General to investigate the park.
"It’s deeply disturbing to hear reports that a beluga whale and dolphin are the latest animals to die at Marineland," said Michèle Hamers, World Animal Protection’s Wildlife Campaign Manager. "It raises many questions around the state of care and reinforces ongoing concerns around the wellbeing of the rest of the animals at the facility."
The park is set to open for the season later this month.
