Province Investing In Local Seniors Programs

Over $71,000 to be invested in local projects to help Niagara seniors stay active.

Several Niagara municipalities are getting some funds as part of the Seniors Community Grant Program.

A total of $71,748.00 is being invested in six projects designed to help local seniors stay fit, active and healthy in their communities.

Projects receiving funding include a series of older adult workshops at the West Lincoln Community Centre and a seniors recreational and well-being program facilitated by the Town of Grimsby.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says these projects will provide meaningful opportunities for older adults to keep connected to their community.

"These projects will make a big difference in the lives of older Ontarians here in Niagara," said Sam Oosterhoff, MPP for Niagara West. "They offer meaningful opportunities for older adults to safely take part in local life and keep connected to friends, family and the community."
