Premiers Ask Trudeau for More Discussion About Long-Term Health Care Support

Canada's premiers have written to Trudeau, asking for more discussions about longer-term predictability and stability in health care

The country's premiers are asking the federal government for more discussions to establish long-term predictability and stability in health care.

They have written to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying regular reviews are needed as part of the health care agreement between the provinces and Ottawa.

The deal will see the federal government boost funding by more than 46-billion-dollars.

In a separate letter that was sent today, Premier Doug Ford suggested having a review around the five-year mark of the Canada Health Transfer deal.
