UPDATE: Police Looking for Suspect in Niagara Falls Robbery

The investigation into a Niagara Falls robbery continues.

On May 23rd, an 88 year old man's wedding rings were stolen following an incident near Dunn Street and Dorchester Road. 

Police report a female suspect traveling in a black van approached the man, who gave her $40 in exchange for four rings and a chain. 

The suspect then pulled off the man's wedding rings and took off, heading westbound on Dunn Street. 

Police are releasing a photo of the jewelry the victim received from the suspect, and are asking anyone who recognizes it to come forward.

Police are investigating after an 88 year old man was robbed in Niagara Falls. 

Just after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, the victim was walking westbound on Dunn Street near Dorchester Road. 

A black van also traveling westbound on Dunn Street stopped beside the man, and a female suspect got out and approached the man. 

The suspect was holding gold plated jewelry and asked the man if he would give her $20 - $40 so she could buy gas. 

The man gave her $20 in exchange for two rings, and the suspect pleaded for another $20. 

The victim agreed, and was given two more rings and a chain. 

The suspect then grabbed the man's left hand and pulled off the victim's wedding rings. 

The suspect took off, and was last seen heading westbound on Dunn Street. 

The suspect is described as a South Asian female who is about 5'10 with a heavy muscular build. 

She was wearing a loose fitting garment. 

The rings are described as one yellow gold band with 3 diamonds in a straight line on the front, and one yellow gold man's ring with a square top and 9-11 small diamonds on the front. 

The rings are valued at about $1200 each. 

In addition, 3-4 children between the ages of 8 and 12 were in the back seat of the vehicle.
