Pelham Receives $2.3 Million for Marlene Stewart Streit Park Rehabilitation Project

An investment from the federal government will benefit Marlene Stewart Streit Park in Pelham.

The Town of Pelham has received $2.3 million for improvements to Marlene Stewart Streit Park.

The funding comes from the federal government's Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

The project will take place over the next five years, bringing a second splash pad to Pelham, along with a fully updated swimming pool and a dedicated pavilion area.

"With the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program addressing recreational renewal, Pelham is grateful to have received funding for the Marlene Stewart Streit Park project." said Vickie vanRavenswaay, director of Recreation Culture and Wellness for Pelham. "The substantial support received for the park will allow Pelham residents to enjoy dynamic spaces in the park, with updated amenities that continue to provide the foundation for strong communities."

The splash pad and pavilion will be installed during the first phase of the project, and the pool replacement is set to take place in 2026.
