Pathstone Mental Health Offers Tips On Beating Holiday Stress

Pathstone Mental Health is encouraging people to set boundaries and enjoy new traditions as holidays loom.

The winter weather is here, and with it often comes the winter blues, or seasonal affective disorder.

With Christmas around the corner and pandemic fatigue lingering on, we spoke to Angel Graham, a Child and Family Therapist and Registered Social Worker at Pathstone Mental Health.

She says the Christmas season is a tough time for many people, especially those who are grieving.

"If you're feeling pressured to be happy, it actually makes you feel worse. So for those who are struggling with the loss of a loved one, what they want to do is look for a positive way to remember them."

She also suggests that anyone who is feeling stressed right now engage in physical activity, and reach out to others as needed.

Parents and children who are struggling mentally can call Pathstone's Crisis Line at 1-800-263-4944.
