Ontario Reports Over 4,000 New COVID-19 Cases

There are 2,797 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, 56 percent of which were admitted due to the virus.

The province is reporting a spike in new COVID-19 cases today. 

Officials reporting 4,098 new infections and 74 new deaths. 

There were 28,493 tests completed yesterday. 

Currently, there are 2,797 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, 44 percent of which were admitted for other reasons but have the virus. 

There are 541 ICU patients with the virus, 83 percent of which were admitted due to COVID-19. 

To date, 30.8 million vaccine doses have been administered. 

About 92 percent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have one dose and 89.3 percent have two.
