Ontario Reports 269 New COVID-19 Cases

Officials say there are 233 patients hospitalized with the virus.

A slight dip in the number of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario. 

The province is reporting 269 new infections today. 

There are also six more deaths, one of which occurred over a month ago. 

There were 21,827 tests completed yesterday. 

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 93 of today's new cases are in fully vaccinated people. 

At the moment, there are 233 people hospitalized with the virus, and 138 patients in ICUs due to COVID. 

About 87.9 percent of eligible Ontarians have at least one shot and 84 percent are fully immunized.
