NRP Lay Over 300 Charges For Loud Vehicles

Following complaints from community members, NRP officers lay 307 charges as part of "Operation Loud and Clear."

Niagara Regional Police have laid over 300 charges as part of an operation targeting loud vehicles. 

From April 1st to September 30th, the NRP conducted 175 traffic stops on loud cars, with 307 charges being laid for offences such as unnecessary noise and not having a proper muffler. 

As well, three drivers were found driving while under suspension and without insurance.

An additional motorist was found to be driving while under suspension, and two others didn't have insurance. 

Six vehicles were removed from the roadway directly relating to loud vehicle traffic stops that were found to be unfit for the road.
