NPCA Asking Parents to Talk to Kids About Danger of Playing near Lakes and Rivers

The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority issuing the warning in light of higher than normal water levels

The NPCA says the milder weather and spring rainfall can cause elevated water levels in rivers and creeks, posing a risk for children and pets.

The authority is asking parents to have a talk with their children about the dangers of playing near shorelines in the early spring particularly with lingering ice and muddy banks that can make for treacherous footing.
