No Arrests During Latest RIDE

NRP were out New Year's Eve, in Lincoln, West Lincoln and St. Catharines

Some good news from Niagara Regional police following the latest RIDE campaign.

They say they stopped about 500 vehicles New Year's Eve, in West Lincoln, Lincoln, and St. Catharines, and made no arrests.

In total, eight drivers were asked to provide breath samples, and all over them resulted in the acceptable range, and were allowed to leave.

Unfortunately, over the course of the last number of days, from just before Christmas, there were two nights of checks, resulting in a number of arrests.

Police add impaired driving is the leading criminal offense causing death in Canada.
