Recall impacts certain Rogues from the 2014 to 2020 model years, as well as Rogue Sports SUVs from 2017 to 2022

Nissan is recalling over 800,000 small SUVs sold in Canada and the U.S.

The company says the recall impacts certain Rogues from the 2014 to 2020 model years, as well as Rogue Sports from 2017 through 2022.

According to Nissan, the SUVs have jackknife folding keys that may not stay fully open.

If the key is partially folded while the vehicle is being driven, the engine could be turned off of the owner touches the fob.

This could cause issues with engine power and power brakes, and in the event of a collision, the air bags may not inflate.

Nissan says no crashes or injuries have been reported due to this problem.

A fix has not been created yet.

Nissan says owners with keys that won't stay in the open position should get in touch with their dealers.
