Niagara's Hospitals are COVID-19 Free

For the first time since March, there are no patients with COVID-19 in Niagara's hospitals.

Niagara Health says the final two cases were resolved yesterday.
There have been 129 patients with the virus in our hospitals since March 12th.
Niagara Health President Lynn Guerriero says the pandemic is not over and the possibility of treating more patients in the near future remains.
The three COVID-19 Assessments Centres in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland have completed nearly 27,000 tests.
Niagara's hospitals are in stage two of recovery planning and are operating between 25 and 35 per cent of normal volumes.
There are a number of safety measures in place like a universal masking policy, virus screening and limited visiting hours.
