The Ford Government will be investing $175-million, into the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund this year.
Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliot made the big announcement at Niagara Health's St. Catharines site this morning.
The cash will benefit 131 hospitals across the province.
Niagara Health will receive almost $1.7-million, which will be going towards the following projects.
Douglas Memorial (Fort Erie) - Building refacing.
Greater Niagara General (Niagara Falls) - Roof replacement, new windows, retaining wall repairs and an update of the electrical distribution panel in the operating room.
Port Colborne - Switch gear breaker retrofit to enhance the reliability of the electrical backup system.
Welland - Roof replacement, public washroom updates and receiving dock refurbishing.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff will also be making a funding announcement at Hotel Dieu Shaver this afternoon.
