Niagara College Preparing for Record Number of Grads

About 1,600 students will graduate later this week

Niagara College is getting ready for a record breaking convocation.

The school says about 1,600 students will graduate this fall, making it the largest cohort to date.

"Convocation is the ultimate celebration of student success and we are thrilled to celebrate our largest fall class of graduates and expand our fall ceremonies to two days this year," said NC President Sean Kennedy. "We look forward to welcoming our fall graduates and their families to campus to mark this significant milestone with us."

Three convocation ceremonies will take place at the Welland campus on October 26th and 27th.

A ceremony will be held on October 26th for students within the School of Nursing and Personal Support Worker and the School of Academic and Liberal Studies.

Students within the schools of Business and Management Studies, Environment and Horticulture, Hospitality and Tourism, Wine, Beer and Spirits and Culinary Arts will graduate the next day.

Traditionally, ceremonies have been held over the course of one day.

To date, the school has over 120,000 alumni.
