More visitors will be welcome bedside
Niagara Health announcing that starting today, two visitors will be allowed bedside at one time in the Labour and Delivery Unit as well as the NICU.
Visiting hours remain the same from 11 am to 8 pm and children and youth can visit as long as they wear a mask at all times.
Niagara Health says at this time, there is no change for outpatient, Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centres, where patients can continue to bring one person to support them.
In addition, the hospital system still requires everyone entering the hospital to be screened for COVID-19, wear a mask at all times, practice physical distancing and hand hygiene.
As well there is no eating or drinking inside.
All of this includes individuals who have been vaccinated.
