Christine Elliot releases letter regarding decision not to seek re-election
No word on what she will today's new conference is about, but Elliot did confirm reports on Friday that she will not seek re-election in June.
In a written statement, the Tory MPP did not say why she has decided to leave politics.
The Health Minister thanks Ontarians, constituents and the Premier for her time in the role, but does not give any indication why she is calling it quits.
Elliot will stay on as Health Minister through the spring.
