Haldimand Norfolk MP Dr. Leslyn Lewis and Carlton MP Pierre Poilievre are the only two people in the race right now to become the next leader of the Conservative party.
The MP for Haldimand Norfolk is tossing her hat in the race to become the leader of the Federal Conservative Party.
Dr. Leslyn Lewis announced her intention to run this morning.

She joins Carlton MP Pierre Poilievre as the only two candidates to announce their intention to run for the top spot.
Federal Conservative Party members have until April 19th put their name forward to join the race. They also have to pay a $200,000 entry fee, on top of a $100,000 deposit in order to make sure they follow the rules. They will get their deposit back once a new party leader is elected September 10th.
All membership applications must be submitted by June 3rd and the ballots will be sent to party members in late July or early August.
