Pair accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers between 1987 and 1993.

Two people from Grimsby have been arrested in connection with historical sexual offences committed against children.

The pair are accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls in the North York area.

One of the victims filed a report on June 10th, reporting she had been sexually assaulted by a man and a woman between 1987 and 1990, when she was between 13 and 17 years old.

On June 28th, a second victim came forward, saying she had been sexually assaulted by the same male suspect between 1992 and 1993.

The second victim was between the ages of 13 and 14 at the time.

York Regional Police say 64 year old Raymond Swash and 61 year old Sandra Swash were arrested on Tuesday, July 12th and have been charged.

The accused and the victims were members of Banfield Memorial Church in North York.

Raymond Swash was a Youth Pastor and a Youth Leader at the church in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Investigators say they believe the pair may have been involved with several church groups in York Region, Hamilton and Niagara, and they believe there could be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call York Regional Police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7071 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
