GO Service Disruption in St. Catharines

MetroLinx says it's due to construction on the Seaway bridge, lasting to February 22nd

Some disruptions to the Go Train schedule through St. Catharines.

Metrolynx, which operates the Go Train, says starting today, lasting to Thursday, February 22nd, CN Rail will be doing daily repairs on the Seaway bridge after 6pm.

That'll temporarily limit access to the St. Catharines GO station, and, some trains on the Lakeshore West line will not stop at St. Catharines during this time.

The following Lakeshore West trains will bypass St. Catharines GO between January 8 – February 22:

·        The weekday westbound trip arriving at St. Catharines GO at 19:30.

·        The weekday eastbound trip departing St. Catharines GO at 21:34.

·        The weekday westbound trip arriving at St. Catharines GO at 00:44.

·        The weekend westbound trip arriving at St. Catharines GO at 18:55.

·        The weekend eastbound trip departing St. Catharines GO at 20:46.

For travel to or from St. Catharines during this period, customers can use GO bus route 12 from St. Catharines Fairview Mall which connects to Lakeshore West trains at Burlington GO.

On weekdays, customers can also access GO bus route 18 from the on-street stop near St. Catharines GO (located at Louth St. @ St. Paul St. W) which connects to Lakeshore West trains at Aldershot GO.

You can also use the GO bus.

CN Rail says this work will not impact rail service to and from Niagara Falls.
