Legal strike position October 1st if no deal is reached
There could be labour trouble for Metrolinx.
The CBC reporting the union representing GO Transit's bus drivers have taken another step closer to strike action.
The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1587 which represents about 22-hundred workers at GO Transit has confirmed a "no board" report has been filed.
The move will put workers in a legal strike position as of 12:01 a.m. on October 1st.
The union says it has not yet set a strike date and is hopeful a new contract can be achieved.
