Free Beach Passes Offered to Port Colborne Residents

Port Colborne City Council is moving forward with a new plan for beach operations.

The plan includes giving free beach passes to residents of Port Colborne this summer.

For the 2021 season, Nickel Beach will be open to both residents and tourists, but Centennial-Cedar Bay Beach will only be open to residents of Niagara.

Starting Victoria Day long weekend, Centennial-Cedar Bay Beach will be open daily from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

Visitors will be required to show proof of their Niagara residency.

For Nickel Beach, a limit of 150 tourist vehicles will be permitted every day.

Non-Port Colborne residents will need to purchase beach passes in advance.

More information on how Port Colborne residents can claim their free beach passes will be available by the end of next month.
