UPDATE: Pelham Gas Leak Cleared

UPDATE: The gas leak has been cleared and the area has been deemed safe

Officials say all of the impacted residents may now return home.

Enbridge Gas remains on scene for repairs.

Several homes have been evacuated in Pelham, after a gas leak on Haist Street.

The Pelham Fire Department got the call shortly after 10:00 a.m. this morning.

The leak is inside a home, somewhere between Pancake Lane and Bigelow Crescent.

Crews were able to shut off the gas and contain the leak. They have also disconnected all hydro in the area.

The homes in the areas of Haist south to Berkwood Place, north to Damude Drive, east to Shoalts Drive, and west to Blackwood Crescent were evacuated out of caution.

Emergency crews remain on scene with Enbridge Gas.
