Elementary Teachers Move Closer to Strike Position

Public elementary teachers in Niagara and across the province are a step closer to a strike.

The government and the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario sat down with a conciliator yesterday.
The union is asking for a "no board report" which can take a few days to go through.
If issued, the union would be in legal strike position after 17 days.
Both sides will continue talks next week.
The EFTO voted 98 per cent in favour of strike action last week.
Meanwhile, local public high school teachers will hold a strike vote on November 12th and 13th.
