Drone test will take place between the Skylon Tower and Clifton Hill

A drone test that was originally scheduled for last week will now take place on Thursday.

It was originally supposed to take place on Friday, September 29th, but was rescheduled due to police activity in the area.

North Star Drones says the ten minute test will take place at 9:00 p.m. between the Skylon Tower and Clifton Hill.

For safety reasons, the pathway between Robinson (Skylon Tower) and Clifton Hill will be closed to pedestrians during the show.

According to Niagara Falls Tourism, 300 drones will be sent into the sky after the fireworks show.

"The test will feature drone lights forming shapes that represent a selection of the many world-class attractions Niagara Falls has to offer visitors," says Niagara Falls Tourism.

There will not be an audio component.

Officials also note there are no plans to swap out the fireworks show in exchange for a drone show.
