UPDATE: Police Identify Victim of Deadly Niagara-on-the Lake Incident

The NRP has identified the victim of a deadly incident in Niagara on the Lake.

40 year old Matthew Wilson was found dead on Monday around 7:20, near Lakeshore Road and McNab Road.

Police determined that he was hit by a car, and identified the driver of a Ford F-150 believed to be involved.

The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the NRP

Police have identified the driver involved in a Niagara-on-the-Lake fatality.

Around 7:18 AM yesterday morning, emergency crews were called to the area of Lakeshore Road and McNab Road.

The body of a deceased man was found on the side of the road, and investigation determined he had been struck by a vehicle.

Officers have identified the driver of a Ford F150 that struck the victim on its passenger side.

The vehicle had been traveling eastbound on Lakeshore Road when the incident occurred.

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111 ext. 1009137.

Police are investigating after a dead body was found in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Just before 7:20 this morning, emergency crews were called to the area of Lakeshore Road and Mcnab Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male on the side of the road.

Further investigation determined that the man had been struck by a car.

Lakeshore Road is expected to remain closed between Mcnab Road and Stewart Road as police continue the investigation.
