City of Thorold Asking Residents to Keep Properties Clean Following Coyote Sighting

Residents reminded to get rid of food attractants, seal sheds, and supervise pets.

The City of Thorold is reminding residents to keep their property clean after a resident encountered a coyote.

The animal was spotted in the Chapel Street and Clairmont Avenue area.

Residents are advised to remove food attractants such as bird feeders, pet food that is outside and fruit that has fallen from trees.

You're also asked to remove brush piles, trim branches, and supervise your pets while they are outside.

Coyote sightings can be reported for Coyote Watch Canada at 905-931-2610 for tracking purposes.

If you see a coyote that is trapped, injured or in distress, you can call Niagara Region Animal Services at 905-682-0767 or contact@nras.ca.
