Six sculptures will remain on public display as Brock University diverts itself from Rodman Hall.

The City of St. Catharines is working with Rodman Hall Arts Centre (RHAC) to relocate six outdoor sculptures.

Council approved an expenditure of $133,905, which will come from the Civic Project Fund, to remove, store, and eventually relocate the pieces.

At the moment, Brock University is finalizing the sale of the property, and is working with the RHAC to help them take ownership of the collection of works at the art gallery.

The RHAC does hope to eventually establish a public art gallery in the city showcasing the pieces, but for now, the City has been asked to move part of the collection to an undetermined location in the downtown area.

The City says they'll hold on to the sculptures for the next twenty years and pay for removal, storage and relocation.

The RHAC will pick up the tab for maintenance, insurance and related programming.
