Charges Laid in Violent Niagara Falls Robbery

Two men from out of town have been charged after a violent robbery in Niagara Falls.

Police say it all started Wednesday afternoon, at an apartment on Queen Street close to St. Clair Ave.

A woman entered the apartment to find three unknown men. Two of them left but the third stayed behind and prevented the woman from leaving.

Officers say he then held the woman at gunpoint and forced her to make withdrawals out of nearby ATMs.

Police say another unknown man showed up at the apartment the next morning and wound up fighting with the suspect in the street.

The man took off and the suspect went to look for him, and that's when the woman was able to getaway.

She fled to a home in the Brookfield Ave area, and that's when she called police.

Officers were able to arrest one man a short distance away.

Zoey the NRP service dog was able to locate the second man.
