Canada Day festivities taking place on Saturday at Firemen's Park

If you're looking for something to do with the family this long weekend, Firemen's Park will be holding its annual Canada Day celebration.

From 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, there will be live music, a Kids Zone stage, a synthetic ice rink and more.

Kids will also get to enjoy face painting, a 15,000 piece LEGO zone and an obstacle course.

The event is free, and there will be over ten food trucks and food stations.

"We are excited to try something new this year and look forward to showcasing some of the upgrades at one of the City’s premier locations, Firemen’s Park," Mayor Jim Diodati says. "The day will feature so many cool new things for kids, families and residents of all ages to try, along with food trucks, local craft beer, and festival favourites you love from our signature Canada Day Celebration. We’re looking forward to getting your feedback on the day!"

Shuttle busses will be operating from City Hall, MacBain Community Centre, Gale Centre, Club Italia and Niagara Square.
