Border Crossing Tips for American Thanksgiving Weekend

Lots of people will be heading to the United States for American Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

You can expect delays at the border crossings in Niagara this weekend, so it's a good idea to check the wait times before you head out.

Make sure you do not have any prohibited goods or items in your vehicle.

The Canada Border Services Agency says you should also have your passport ready to go when you arrive at the border.

CBSA officers are always on the lookout for missing children. If you are a single parent travelling with your child, you should have consent letter with you and contact information for the other parent.

You will have to declare everything you purchase in the U.S. when you return to Canada.
