Body Pulled from Twelve Mile Creek

The person's identity hasn't been determined

A body has been pulled from Twelve Mile Creek in St. Catharines.

Police say on Saturday, a local resident made the discovery.

NRP Constable Phil Gavin say crews from Ontario Power Generation were called in to reduce water levels, as the body was found in an unsafe spot.

St. Catharines Fire Services officials also helped with the recovery.

An autopsy will take place in Toronto.

While police haven't identified the body, officers and members of the public have spent over a week scouring the area for a missing man.

34 year old Liam Neumann was last seen in the creek near St. Paul Crescent and Newton Street on June 25th.

He went missing in the water trying to stop his raft as it floated away with his dog onboard.
