Above Average Winter Temperatures in the Long-Term Forecast for Niagara

We're about to have our first taste of winter here in Niagara.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Sherry Williams says we can expect a little bit of snow tonight and tomorrow morning, but it probably won't accumulate on the ground.

We could also be in for flurries this weekend and early next week.

Williams says you don't need to panic if you don't have your snow tires on yet, but you should still drive with caution.

She says we're experiencing below average temperatures right now, but it looks like it won't be too cold over the next few months.

"We could see from November starting below normal and then maybe the December and January period being above normal if it's looking at that whole three-months and coming out with an average of above normal temperatures."

The average for the beginning of November is a max high of 10 and a minimum low of plus 3.
