53 New COVID-19 Cases in Niagara

Niagara Public Health is reporting 53 new cases of COVID-19.

Eight more people have died in the region, bringing the death toll to 332. 

Forty-one people are fighting the virus in Niagara hospitals. 

There are 963 active cases and 41 active outbreaks. 

St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland have the most active cases in Niagara. 

Throughout Ontario, there were 1172 new cases announced today. 

There are 444 new cases in Toronto, 199 in Peel and 110 in York Region. 

Yesterday, Health Minister Christine Elliott noted that due to a data migration within Toronto Public Health, fluctuations in Toronto's case numbers are to be expected over the next few days.
