-Recognized Globally each year on July 28th
-The annual awareness campaign brings the world together under a single theme to raise awareness of the global burden of viral hepatitis and to influence real change.
-As with the Canadian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Day event hosted by the Hepatitis C Care Clinic in May, our World Hepatitis Day event will raise awareness of hepatitis, how to receive testing, liver health and the care and services of our program.
-Our clinic opened in May 2011 and each year since 2014 we host a community awareness event. This year at our street-based Health and Social services fair we will be joined by over 35 community partners.
-The Niagara Health System – Hepatitis C Care Clinic Team will provide private testing, health teaching, naloxone training, naloxone distribution and much more
-Free food at noon, free raffle prize draws, live music and a little something for everyone.
-We want to encourage individuals to come and learn about immunizations for hepatitis A and B, hepatitis testing, and the care and treatment for hepatitis C
So... come out and learn about the care and services of the Niagara Health System-Hepatitis C Care Clinic and the services offered by all of our community partners coming and supporting us at our event.

World Hepatitis Day will be recognized with the “Glow-It-In-Green” Illuminations of the following prominent landmark to end our day here in Niagara and around the world.
