The water levels are going down in Lake Ontario.

According to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, it was just under 75 metres on Monday. This is 7 centimetres below the record high that was set last month.

Meanwhile Lake Erie is sitting at just over 175 metres, which is 16 centimetres above it's record high that was set back in 1986.

Officials say the water levels will continue to go down, but will stay above average for a while.
