Pride Week Kicks off in Niagara

The rainbow flag is flying proudly across Niagara.

June is Pride month and Pride Week kicked off in the Region on June 1st.

Municipalities and schools with the District School Board of Niagara are displaying the rainbow flag in a show of support.

The 6th Annual Niagara UNITY Awards happens on Wednesday.

It starts at 6:00 p.m. at Amici's in Thorold.

The gala showcases the contributions of individuals and groups that have made an impact for the LGBTQ community.
